Welcome to week two of Botley Bridges Holiday Programme.
On Wednesday 7th August 10-12 noon, we will be at Cumnor Hurst. Unfortunately this session is NOT suitable for pushchairs due to limited access. The Theme this week will be Nature and Fire.
To find us, drive towards the top of Cumnor Hill and on the left, before the new estate, you will see Hurst Lane. Drive along there and park where you can (limited parking spaces, so please share lifts if possible). One of the Botley Bridges team will be there until 10.15 to walk you up to The Hurst. Failing that, please walk along to the public footpath (signposted) and follow the small piles of flour. You will walk along a track and find a gate on your right, cross the field and enter the gate into the woods. Follow the path up the hill to find us. There is a bus stop fairly close to Hurst Lane and you can catch the number 4 or S6 bus fairly regularly. 2There will be a scavenger hunt and you can make nature crowns and sun-catchers, leaf people, pine cone animals, hungry caterpillar necklaces, paper plate mini beasts, or a family of leaf people. We will use sticks to make wands, spider webs and fire pictures. We will have clay and natural playdough too to make whatever you like. This is also the session that we have a fire to make stick bread. Please bring along marshmallows if you like too.
Suitable for children aged 2-10. Just £2.50 per family.
Please bring drinks and snacks with you and also sunhats/cream if it is hot
We also have Stay and Play at Botley Bridges on Friday 9th August between 9-11.30. Lots more crafts activities following on with the nature theme, and also an activity from the Family learning team at Abingdon and Witney College – Just £2 per family
Baby Stay and Play runs on Friday afternoon 1.15-3pm. This is suitable for babies up to 1 year. Come along and meet other local parents and make new friends – £3 per family
